How We Calculate Real Software Costs
Duovon helps teams estimate what software actually costs once contact tiers, usage overages, seat minimums, and Year-1 setup fees are included.
1. Real-Usage Cost Modeling
Every calculator models the pricing rules written in each vendor's fine print: tiered contact brackets, seat minimums, stacked per-minute AI provider costs, payment gateway fees, and mandatory Year-1 onboarding.
We test starter, mid-scale, and high-scale workloads so you can see how your monthly bill changes as your team or customer list grows.
Checked regularly against official vendor pricing pages.
2. Community Discussions & Referral Links
Some outbound links (/go/*) use affiliate or partner tracking at zero extra cost to buyers. Referral status never changes a platform's Transparency Score, Hidden Fee Risk rating, or calculator math.
Community quotes are public forum discussions from Reddit and Hacker News (not audited customer invoices), linked directly to the original thread so you can read the full context.
Zero paid score boosts. Direct links to public forum threads.
How to read the scores
Transparency and scale-value scores are editorial assessments stored with each tool. They are not customer review ratings or measured product performance.
Overall score = 45% billing transparency + 55% value at scale, rounded to one decimal place. The component scores are editorial judgments; the weighted overall score is calculated from them.
Use the linked vendor pricing policies, included features, workload amounts, and fee breakdown to assess fit. A higher score or lower reference bill does not establish that two products are interchangeable. Referral compensation does not change these scores.
